From their early years, Blaine and Rachel Anderberry had been a fantastic pair : they were good in their own rights, but if you put them together in a team, you were guaranteed to see them come victorious.

As pretty artistic children, the dynamic between them easilly transfered to them being a duet, entering singing competition at the young age of 6 and beating every other siblings - even older kids were not a challenge for them.

Naturally, their fathers didn’t let them drop out of school. The two men managed to keep them in check, with a proper education from beginning to end and a real sense of human values.

Now that they’re adult, they can tour all over the country - heck, all over the countries - and always get a full room.

Of the two, Rachel is known in the business to be the more ruthless one, the one that will jump to defend the causes she believes in and to prove to everyone and their mother that she is the absolute best.

Blaine is more … How to describe Blaine Anderberry ? It’s not that he’s more mellow than his twin, far from it actually (rumor has it that he joined an Ohio branch of Fight Club at one period of time), but he’s definitely more gentle, more … caring, especially to their fans who come to them for advice on their problems.

When Blaine came out, he did it without a fuss, with a simple comment on how Rachel wasn’t the only one looking for Prince Charming. That statement made him the poster boy for the LGBT community, and he has taken on that task gracefully.

But as Rachel dates some of their “competitors” (she has been seen with the elder part of the Puckasaurus Duo Noah Puckerman, and with Jesse St James - that one was a long lived romance that Blaine had to endure on the sidelines), Blaine finds himself … well, a little lonely, even if he’s never completely alone.

They both talk about their future, their career, and they know that not too far from now, they’ll fly solo but for now, they still enjoy the time they get to spend together.

Especially right now, when they have 3 weeks of holidays in Europe - Italy, to be more precise. Holidays mean one thing for Blaine : no more shaving or hair gelling until he relly has to.

For both of them, it’s a dream come true : Italian landscapes, Italian food … and Kurt Hummel’s latest show in Venice - music, dance and lighting magic on the Canal : now that’s definitely something neither of them wants to miss in the Serinissima !

Even if Blaine is slightly more excited about it than his twin.

Eh, don’t blame him, it’s not like there are a lot of people in the entertainment businss who are both around his age and openly gay.

And as easy on the eye as musical prodigy Kurt Hummel.

Their status as celebrities grant them access to V.I.P. seats, but even from the back of the audience, Blaine is sure he would have been just as mesmerized as he is right now by the tall, young man fuild movements and surreal voice.

Rachel tries to make fun of him, but either she decided that he was a lost cause or he managed to block her out, but he doesn’t hear her for the remaining of the show.

“I have to meet him” he still says in her ear when San Marco’s place shakes from the thunderous applause marking the end of the show.

“You’re insane” she replies but takes his arm. “Now come on Blainers, let’s try to make it happen !”

They both rush toward the security agents standing around the stage area and show them their V.I.P. badges, but they don’t seem quite convinced. A tall man comes from a tent behind the stage.

“May I help you ?” he says quietly, confidently, his eyes darting toward Rachel even if he adresses the two of them.

She seems equally interested, if the way she plays with a loose strand of hair is anything to go by. “Hi ! We’re Rachel and Blaine Anderberry” she finally says, raising her hand towards him.

The man takes it and places a very gentlemanly kiss on the back of her hand. “Very honored to have you two in the audience” he says as he straightens up. “I’m Finn Hudson, Kurt’s stepbrother and manager. Did you want something in particular ?” he adds, turning to look at Blaine with a knowing (knowing ?) smile.

Rachel steps forward, putting her hand on the tall (so tall !) man’s forearm. “We really were amazed by the show, and we would love to give Kurt our congratulations - you know, as fellow artists !” she explains, making what Blaine has nicknamed in the past her “kitty purring” eyes at Finn.

The smile widens on his face. “Of course ! Follow me please. Lasciate passarli !” he calls to the guards who open the barriers to let them through.

Backstage, Kurt is still riding the adrenaline of the show - it’s his premiere in Europen the premiere of the new shape of his show and he was so nervous, but the welcome he got from his Italian fans …

Now that’s something he can’t get enough of !

But where in the Seven hells is his brother ? Finn should be here by now, celebrating with him and making suggestions about what they should do - suggestions that Kurt will inevitably shot down because he has to rest if he wants to be able to do a repeat of the show the next day but still !

Finally, he hears the curtain of the tent rustling as he put on his t-shirt (less tight than his costume but still … tight enough). “Ah Finn …” Kurt starts but he closes his mouth quickly when he realizes his brother is not alone - only for it to reopen pretty quickly when he finally sees who exactly is following Finn.

The Anderberry twins.

Oh good Lord.

He’s going to kill Finn.

Finn who knows exactly what the pair represents for him, for his career, for his choices, for his inspiration.

Finn who knows even more that he probably wants what are his feelings for the male part of the duo, since he’s been crushing on him since he was a teenage boy and Blaine did his coming out on MTV.

And seriously who could blame him ? It’s not like a lot of men in the industry are a) around his age, b) as good looking as Blaine Anderberry and c) as fundamently honest as the man standing in front of him, a light blush visible under his scruff (well, let’s be honest, it’s beyond a simple scruff at this point).

“Hi !” he welcomes then, a little breathless. “I can’t believe I’m meeting you - I mean, I’m honored - I mean …” he babbles, not knowing what to say to the singers who have contributed so much to his decision to be an artist himself.

“Hello !” Rachel steps forward with a big smile, her arms open for a hug. “It’s so nice to meet you in the flesh” she adds as she’s actually hugging him, the last three words a little bit louder than the others and as he steps back from her little frame, Kurt can see that the blush has intensified on Blaine’s face.

“Tonight, you were … magnificent” the shorter man says finally, his voice calm and soothing and oh dear God, Kurt could listen to him read the Phone book and he would still be happy. The words finallt register, and he can feel his face heating up at the praise.

“Th-thank you” he says shyly, and since when is he a fourteen year-old girl swooning over a man - a spectacular specimen of a man sure but that doesn’t excuse his swooning.

“Would you …” Blaine starts but bites his lower lip, clearly to keep the words inside.

“Would you have the time to come for a drink with us ?” Rachel asks, her elbow bumping her twin’s side by accident (Kurt hopes it’s not).

Shoot. He can’t.

“I really can’t go out tonight” he says apologetically in his voice. “I have to get ready for tomorrow’s show and fix what went wrong with the staff …” he explains quickly, his eyes going to Blaine who seems sympathetic but … is that disappointment ?

Yessss.

“We understand - maybe some other time ?” Rachel insists, her beautiful brown eyes looking t him pleadingly and he can see Finn nodding exaggerately behind the siblings.

Frowning at his borther’s excentric behavior, Kurt nods as he searches for a pen and a piece of paper to write down his and Finn’s numbers. “Sure ! I finish my tour in Venice in 3 days, and I have a couple of days to just enjoy the Serinissima - that is, if you’re still going to be there in 3 days …?’” he asks, turning to Blaine to give him the scrambled phone numbers.

The man’s smile as he takes it reverently is blinding. “We’ll make it work”.
